AGA Names Interim CEO after Freeman Resigns

Mr. Freeman’s Reason for Resigning at AGA

The 43-year-old executive resigned at the beginning of June 2018 when no one was expecting it. Freeman decided to take a better offer of a similar position at the GMA (Grocery Manufacturers Association). More so, Freeman had only been steering the ship for about two months.

The CEO for Penn Gaming, Tim Wilmott will be leading the selection committee for the new CEO for AGA. More members of the committee include CEO of Rush Street Gaming – Greg Carlin and Bill Lance, who will be representing the North American gambling sector.

Other online gambling executives are partaking in the search include Mark Frissora, the president of Caesars Entertainment, Trevor Croker – the CEO of Aristocrat Leisure and Jim Murren – the chairman of MGM Resorts International.

All of these online gambling casinos also operate in the Macau gambling industry. More so, they are also looking forward to expanding into Japan, once the country legalises online gambling.

Overview

When Freeman started as AGA’s CEO, he mentioned that he was honoured for being given  the chance to be able to build on the company’s upcoming successes. When he was made the CEO, Freeman’s knowledge and experiences were the primary assets that AGA was hoping to take advantage of and his fast resignation left many in disbelief.
