What’s Coming Up?

August 2023 could have you flying all over the world! In Tulsa, U.S.A, 14th- 16th there is the OIGA Conference and Trade Show 2023. In Sydney, Australia, 15th – 17th there is The Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE). And in Lagos, Nigeria, 23rd – 25th is the Sports Betting West Africa+ Summit. Each event will include the latest in gambling technology, regional trends and insight. Industry heavy-hitters are sure to be in attendance.

OIGA Conference and Trade Show 2023 – 14th to 16th August

The annual conference of the Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association (OIGA) will take place in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. Known as “the biggest little show in Indian Gaming,” the OIGA Trade Show is expected to attract around 3,000 people this year.

The OIGA represents people of Indian Nations involved in tribal gaming enterprises throughout Oklahoma. This U.S.A. state has a huge Native American population and a large amount of tribal government gaming institutions. Oklahoma’s tribal gaming dates back decades, starting out with basic bingo halls. Now, there are over 130 gaming establishments – including twenty casinos – managed by tribal nations.

The upcoming OIGA Trade Show will be held for three days. It will kick off with Golfing, Poker and Blackjack Tournaments among the Welcome Events. On the second day the Trade Show floor opens, and there will be a diverse range of sessions on gambling and hospitality. The OIGA will be promoting the positive benefits of tribal government gaming.

Australasian Gaming Expo – 15th to 17th August

The AGE 2023 will be their 32nd expo and is expected to be sold out. It began in 1990. Following on from the success of their 2022 event, they are anticipating over 6,000 unique visitors. Over the three days, members of the Casino, Hospitality, Hotel and Club sectors will network and present their products and services. The target market is Australia and Pacific Rim nations.

Vendors and presentation spaces will take up the full four halls of the giant International Convention Centre in Sydney’s Darling Harbour. Organisers of the Australasian Gaming Expo plan to present thought-provoking seminars on the latest in regional developments. The latest in interactive gaming technologies will be shown.

Sports Betting West Africa+ Summit 2023 – 23rd to 25th August

An Eventus International event, SBWA+ 2023 will be a highlight of the year in the West African gambling industry. This will be their eighth annual summit and will take place in the modern Federal Palace Hotel Casino on Victoria Island.

The organisers have increased interactive gaming and networking opportunities by 50% compared to the previous year. They intend to stimulate conversation and provide education with panel discussions, speed networking events, and presentations. Topics include; “The Rise of Mobile Gaming in West Africa”, “Identifying High-Growth Markets in African Sports Betting and How to Access Them”, and “Localization Strategies for iGaming Operators in West Africa” among others.
